Acceptable Use Policy

1. Who This Applies To

This policy applies to every account on Sgija Lab — listeners, collectors, artists, producers, and labels. By creating an account you accept these rules alongside our Terms of Service.

2. Content Rules For Artists

• Upload only music you own or control the full rights to. Unauthorized uploads, stolen beats, or misappropriated collaborations are removed and the uploader is liable.
• Do not present AI-generated content as original human-made works. Every submission is screened by automated AI-detection and mandatory human review.
• Respect the exclusivity window you declared at submission. A track released exclusively on Sgija Lab must not be distributed elsewhere during its exclusivity period.
• All samples and features must be cleared before submission. You confirm rights at upload — that confirmation is relied upon when we host your track.
• File limit: 500MB per track. Maximum three tracks in the review queue at a time.

3. Anti-Piracy Rules For Buyers

• Every purchased download is watermarked with the buyer's identity. The copy you download is unique to you.
• Do not share, redistribute, re-upload, or sell purchased files. Sharing a purchased file outside the platform is a breach of this policy and of our Terms.
• Do not attempt to remove, alter, or circumvent watermarking or any copy-protection measure. Watermark tampering is treated as deliberate piracy.
• Leaked files are traced back to the purchasing account. Confirmed leaks result in permanent account termination, forfeiture of purchased licenses, and where warranted, civil or criminal proceedings.

4. Account Conduct

• One person, one account. No account sharing, selling, or transferring.
• No impersonation of artists, staff, or other members.
• No scraping, automated bulk access, or attempts to interfere with the platform's operation.
• No payment abuse: no use of stolen cards, no deliberate chargeback fraud, no testing stolen payment credentials on our checkout.

5. Prohibited Content Categories

Hate speech, harassment, incitement to violence, child sexual abuse material, or any content that is illegal under South African law is prohibited and reported to the relevant authorities where required.

6. Enforcement

• Every track submission undergoes mandatory human review before publication, supported by automated rights, AI-generation, and exclusivity screening.
• Violations result in content takedown, queue suspension, or permanent account bans.
• Artist payouts can be withheld pending investigation of a rights or leak dispute.
• Confirmed piracy or payment abuse results in immediate termination and forfeiture of account access.

7. Reporting Violations

Report violations or copyright concerns to sgijalabcommunication@gmail.com. Rights-holders can file formal takedowns via our DMCA process.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes are announced on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
